My Doll' s life before 16"dolls
I have always been creative, ever since I was a child. I loved to draw, paint, and make things with my hands. As I grew older, life decided otherwise and I forgot my creative child dreams.
Later on, when opportunity presented itself, I started my journey as an adult doll designer by creating one-of-a-kind dolls using Barbie and clones as support, and recycled materials. I was determined to make something unique and special.
My first creations were quite humble but people loved the unique look and feel of my dolls, and I was thrilled. I was so proud of my work, and I still have the only photos that I have of my first creations.
Since then, I have continued to work hard and create unique dolls. I have experimented with different materials and designs. I have also started to sell in craft & dolls shows and later presenting my dolls and outfit in various crafter market and shops. I also created custom dolls for some of my customers, like wedding dress reproductions.
My journey as a doll designer has been a rewarding one. I am proud of the dolls I have created, and the customers I have been able to serve and make happy.
When life winked at me again, I discovered the big 16"dolls through Gene from Mel Odom, then Tyler from Robert Tonner, and even if I still liked Barbie, the bigger dolls immediately attracted me more. Since 1999 they are fully part of my life.
Here I come to share my journey with you.
